Tain is a good place from which to explore the Highlands, and many of our guests stay several days to do this, using us as a base. There are also many interesting places to visit nearby - Dunrobin Castle, Portmahomack and Dornoch sandy beaches, and the wonderful old buildings in Tain itself. It is also a good stopping off place on your way to or from Orkney.
