Delightful spacious cottage, a great base to explore Ayrshire and ideal for a romantic break. Close to the picturesque village of Kirkmichael with gastro pub, café and shop. Beautifully renovated to a high standard; one bedroom with kingsize bed (a travel cot is available on request). There's a large sitting room with dining area adjacent, bathroom with shower over bath, utility room with washer/dryer and a stylish kitchen with dishwasher, fridge, freezer and a good selection of cookware. Central heating is by eco-friendly biomass boiler which gives out a cheery glow. The garden which gets the sun all day and we've garden furniture to enjoy al fresco meals or relaxing with a good book. Free WiFi is also provided.

Great walks nearby plus cycling, fishing, horse-riding and star gazing; the Dark Sky Park and Observatory which has an extensive programme of events is a short drive away. Robert Adam's masterpiece, Culzean Castle, looks out across the sea to Arran. Inland, also by Adam, is Dumfries House with its priceless Chippendale furniture, walled garden and forest walks. Apart from world class golf courses at Turnberry and Royal Troon there are many excellent municipal courses. At nearby Dunaskin the Scottish Industrial Railway Centre have a regular programme of steam days throughout the summer. Scotland's premier racecourse at Ayr has meetings approximately every fortnight.

It's an hour to Glasgow with its shopping, art galleries and museums and a trip to Arran is a great way to spend a day, especially on the paddle steamer Waverley. A short drive away is Burns cottage and Birthplace Museum plus the coast which boasts some great beaches. Or you could just completely unwind in tranquil, peaceful surroundings watching the buzzards soaring overhead.

Gardenrose B&B is an Arts & Crafts house in the small town of Maybole. We have 2 large en-suite rooms - the Glasgow Room and the Oriental Room. The house retains many of the original features and these reflect the Glasgow School style. Gardenrose B&B is on National Cycle Route 7 and is close to Culzean Castle and Country Park. We have ample off-street parking and secure storage for bikes. We are within 100 metres of the railway station and the bus stops just outside the house.
